Heather F. Harper

Prior to founding Harper Legal, Heather F. Harper was a professor at the Chicago-Kent College of Law. She is an active mentor throughout Chicago's vibrant startup ecosystem, including acting as a mentor at the Polsky Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, mHUB, and 1871.

Before transitioning into business law, she worked at Sidley Austin LLP as a banking and financial transactions attorney and at Paul Hastings as a real estate attorney.

She has a B.A. in American Studies and Political Science from Northwestern University, where she graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, and a law degree from Boston College Law School, where she was elected to Order of the Coif. Heather is licensed to practice law in Illinois and New York.

Heather is notorious for her inability to recognize famous people, and can read both upside down and backwards.

Aisling O’Laoire

Associate attorney Aisling O’Laoire has been a member of Heather’s team since Fall 2015. Before beginning her career in business law, she was a student in the Entrepreneurial Law Clinic and then an associate at Laduzinsky & Associates, P.C., where she practiced commercial litigation, election law, and nonprofit management and compliance.

Aisling has a B.A in History from DePaul University, where she graduated cum laude, and a law degree from the Chicago-Kent College of Law, where she also earned a certificate in Business Law.

In her spare time, Aisling enjoys going to concerts, watching English Premier League soccer and baking.
